Here’s a step-by-step guide to help simplify it and keep you on track.

First, determine your needs & style

It's essential to consider family size, kids, and pets. Do you entertain frequently? How will you use the room?

Keep in mind that a large, active family will have different needs than a smaller one. Also, consider that every room has other challenges and priorities.

These are questions you should ask yourself before going into the flooring store. Also, consider the budget, including installation, padding, underlayments, etc., into consideration.

Look at the design pages

Are you gravitating toward specific colors, grain patterns, or textures? Again, you need to consider the overall decor of your home here; don't just choose something only because you like it.

While nothing needs to match, it does need to harmonize. You want your home to have a cohesive look.
